The East Melbourne Group, believed to be the earliest residents’ association in Melbourne, was established in 1953.
We work to connect the community of East Melbourne and Jolimont and to protect and improve its heritage and amenity.

Accessible Places
We work to ensure the places we use are accessible to people with disabilities, including through advice, aids and reasonable modifications where possible.
Support for Participation
Members with disabilities may attend EMG meetings and functions with a pre-approved, appropriately qualified nominated carer at no cost.
Reasonable Accommodation
We consider and provide reasonable accommodation so members can participate in EMG activities on equal terms, including in relation to meeting times and venues.
Safe and Respectful Environment
We are committed to protecting members from harassment and bullying in all EMG activities, meetings and facilities.
